Artisan Revere is a US-based startup specializing in producing professional kitchen knives. The company's history started with a campaign on Kickstarter in 2019, and since then, it's successfully growing.
The initial idea of the founder was to make well-tested, ergonomic knives of the highest quality using aerospace-rated technology and super-durable steel. With a team of like-minded people, the idea became a reality, and today, even the most popular US magazines and newspapers, such as The New York Times, The Gadgeteer, and GearJunkie, write about the company's success.
About the product – high-quality USA-made knives
Artisan Revere offers a wide spectrum of high-quality USA-made knives that cut better than any other blades since they're produced with high vanadium Elmax® super steel. In the company's online store, you can find best-selling chef's, paring, and petty knives with leather sheaths, as well as handcrafted wood cutting boards.
On top of that, you can purchase bundles that fit your kitchen the most. All of the knives come with a 10,000 Cuts Guarantee, which claims that if it's not the best-performing tool you've ever owned after using it for 10,000 cuts, you can send it back with a 100% refund.
Client's challenges
The Artisan Revere team was looking for web solutions to add bundle pages and a landing page to their existing Shopify store without breaking their current logic and structure. These new pages had to be consistent with the visual style standards of the company's brand book and aligned with their user experience. Additionally, they wanted to implement a custom feature – a gift bag offer that appears depending on a customer's order specifics. At the time, there were no native Shopify features or relevant third-party apps for this purpose.

Landing page design: Our Shopify developers created a landing page, implementing high-quality designs and content that showcased product features and characteristics.
Product bundle pages: We built pages for product bundles to let customers choose the number of items they wanted and adjust the knife set to their wishes. These pages also included comparison tables and educational information regarding the knives' qualities, such as cutting ability, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Gift bag offer implementation: We integrated a gift bag offer into the Shopify store at the stage when a user adds items to the cart. For this purpose, we used a Liquid-based solution that generates a layout without reloading the page. Thus, when a customer chooses items, they see a related gift bag in the cart and can add it to the order. Moreover, customers who have a discount code can easily enter it into the relevant field and purchase goods at a special price.
UI and functionality changes: The indispensable part of Shopify development is minor fixes and changes to make the entire website work harmoniously after the implementation of new elements and features. We've fixed all the arising issues to ensure a perfect user experience.
Shopify store speed optimization: To speed up the website, we've implemented lazy-loading for featured products and optimized image sizes and video formats for existing visuals. This work helped improve the overall website performance and make the shopping experience even more effective.
Results of the product bundle implementation case
As a result of our Shopify web development efforts, the client got consistent, well-structured, and fully optimized bundle pages that help the company boost its average order value (AOV). Another feature that helps them increase this metric is a custom-coded gift bag offer that appears once a customer adds products to the cart.
